Brenden Hall is one of Australia’s most enduring and decorated Paralympians – the fifth in history to compete at five Games, a three-time current world record holder and Australia’s longest World Championship swimmer.
At just six years old, Brenden contracted chickenpox, resulting in the loss of his right leg and profound hearing loss. Struck so early by challenges, Brenden’s life could have taken a very different path. In the face of constantly hearing the word ‘no’, Brenden has built a career defined by persistence, grit and the relentless pursuit of what’s possible.
Across five Paralympic Games, Brenden has claimed three Paralympic Gold medals, along with 1 Silver and 3 Bronze. His remarkable achievements also include three current World Records in the 400m, 800m and 1500m Freestyle S9 events.
Now a father of two young boys, Brenden is open to opportunities outside the pool. He is a great personality for media, brand partnerships, keynote speaking and emcee roles. Brenden speaks with humour, heart and grounded insight that comes from adversity, perseverance and paving possibility.
While swimming, Brenden has studied and qualified as a physiotherapist, a practice he hopes will keep him connected to elite swimming for decades to come.
