Reflections on the Meat Business Women 2026 National Conference.
The Meat Business Women 2026 National Conference in Sydney earlier this year offered a powerful reminder of what happens when an industry pauses, together, to consider where it is heading and who is shaping that direction. What stayed with me was not only the quality of speakers or the energy in the room, but the sense of momentum, connection and purpose that carried through every conversation.

Futurist Anders Sorman‑Nilsson spoke to the increasing importance of clarity, authenticity and narrative in an AI‑enabled world and the ability to articulate who you are, what you stand for and why your work matters… profoundly. Upon hearing this, I excitedly sat up straight in my seat – Sorman‑Nilsson’s belief aligns directly with Talent Stable’s purpose: supporting leaders to own their story, communicate with conviction and bring lived experience into the spotlight.
Just as powerful as the futurist’s allied ideas was the example set by the exceptional women on stage.
This conference was a reminder that leadership is not abstract, it is practiced.
Christine Khor’s reflections on courage reinforced that confidence is built through action, not waiting. Molly Benjamin’s call for financial agency underscored the importance of women backing themselves and protecting themselves commercially, professionally and collectively.
